Keeping Norfolk Warm
Norfolk Warm homes is a partnership programme led by Broadland District Council, to provide energy efficiency home improvement works for people that live in homes that are not heated by mains gas.
Our core commitment is to increase household energy efficiency across Norfolk. We want to help people live in a warmer home whilst reducing the county’s carbon footprint.
What do we offer?
Fully funded grants for eligible households at zero cost to you.
Installs carried out by vetted contractors who are all registered with Trustmark and MCS.
A dedicated team to support you throughout the process.
We can fund:
✓ Loft and cavity wall insulation
✓ Solid wall insulation
✓ Flat and room-in-roof insulation
✓ Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP)
✓ Solar panels
We do not fund:
✗ Boiler repairs
✗ Gas, LPG or oil boilers
✗ Solar panels as a standalone install (without insulation or ASHP installed first)
✗ Windows or doors
✗ Direct support with energy bills
What is the process?
There are six steps towards getting a Norfolk Warm Home:
Get in touch and apply
Discuss your household’s suitability for funding with a member of our friendly team
Confirm eligibility
Complete your Norfolk Warm Homes application, then send it to us
Home Assessments
If it’s suitable you’ll be declared eligible and ready for home assessments
Approval
We then obtain approval from the funder (the government) for the work
Install
Book in a time for the work to be carried out
Completion
Finish the installations and check the quality of the work
